Andrew C. Revkin of The New York Times’ award-winning Dot Earth environmental blog features CISC fellow John Waldman on a blog post titled On World Fish Migration Day, Recalling When America’s Rivers Ran Silver. The blog post contemplates both the significance of the first ever World Fish Migration Day, which is dedicated to highlighting the importance of fish migration and the need to protect and restore river ecosystems, and the dire state of river ecosystems on the East Coast of the United States. World Fish Migration Day took place on May 24, 2014.
