Dr. Allan Frei, the Deputy Director of Institute, is an professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences at Hunter College, City University of New York. After receiving his Ph.D. from Department of Geography at Rutgers University in 1997, he spent four years at the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC), which is part of the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences at the University of Colorado. In 2001 Dr. Frei moved to Hunter College. Dr. Frei is a climatologist whose current research interests focus on a collaboration with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection on a project to evaluate the vulnerability of the city’s water supply to climate, and other 21st century, changes.
