The UTRC submission system is now available to accept the application documents from your students.   recommendation letters are now being accepted and that recommendation letters should be mailed.  Additional information is available at information.  The students can apply online at submit.
We are pleased to announce that the New York Metropolitan Transportation Council/University Transportation Research Center September 11th Memorial Program Academic Initiative will continue during the 2015-16 academic year.  We are very proud to be entering the tenth year of this important educational endeavor. Two on-site internship positions will be available at NYMTC member agencies in the New York City region or at NYMTC’s office in Manhattan.    
 
 The following materials are needed: transcripts, three reference  letters, an essay on your career goals in the transportation profession,  and  a letter from your academic adviser agreeing to assist administratively at their respective school should the need arise.  All of this information should be submitted online.  However, the UTRC online submission system is expected to be ready in about two weeks.  At that time, the applicants will be required to first open an account on the system prior to uploading their documents. Applicants will have the opportunity to indicate their preferred internship topic, but final placements for  the two awardees will be made by the NYMTC September 11th Selection Subcommittee. Internship topics available for this year’s applicants include:
